CONNECTING KIDS TO GOD AND TEACHING THEM HOW TO LIVE FOR HIM
Beginning as babies, kids are exposed to the truth of God’s Word and as they grow, they are guided to know and use the “whole armor of God.” It is our goal to create a nurturing and safe environment where children can learn to love God and love others.
Kids attend small groups, hear Bible stories, do crafts, and activities based on their age. Worship and classes work in conjunction with the Sunday morning schedule. Doors open 10 minutes prior to each event.
Each Wednesday, kids are encouraged to memorize scripture, learn Bible stories, and enjoy games. Doors open 10 minutes prior to each event.
Kids Kindergarten through 6th grade are placed in classes based on their grade. We currently have at least one class per grade. They remain in that group until promotion which happens in August of each year. During promotion, kids are moved to their next grade-level class.

SUMMER WEDNESDAYS | Babies-6th Grade
We have Bible classes for kids year-round on Wednesday nights. During the Summer months (June through August), kids remain in their age-group classes but the format is a little different. Teaching the kids from God’s Word is always the foundation. Summer curriculum varies but centers on a Bible story and all of the activities are focused on that story. This is a great time for kids to build relationships with other kids while learning about God.
Babies & Toddler class placement is based on development of each child. Beginning in August after the child turns 2, kids attend classes based on their birthdate which corresponds to the local school system. (September 1st) Example: a child who turns 3 in May will promote to Preschool 3 during class promotion in August. Class promotion is in August of each year. Children enrolled in Preschool 2 through Preschool 4 classes will promote only in August.

CHILD DEDICATION WEEKEND
Register for Child DedicationWe believe that God has entrusted children to their parents to train up in the way that they should go so that when they are older, they will not depart from it. We have created a time to commemorate and have a public display of this commitment that each parent makes. On Sunday July 28, 2024, during the morning service we have a public commitment time for our church family to pray over and commit to helping these families in their journey. Then, there is a lunch for the families after. This is a personal time with the families to understand the importance of their role as parents and leading their children as God has instructed.

Our safety measures include screening of all adults who serve with this age group. A few of our steps in screening involve nationwide background checks, MinistrySafe sexual abuse awareness training, yearly overview of our policies and procedures and constant monitoring of classrooms. We follow a 2-teacher per classroom rule. If you would like more information about our policies and procedures including pick-up and drop-off, emergency procedures, and cleaning, you may request a copy of our Parent Handbook that is provided to all parents who have kids attending our Kids Ministry.
